Knife Duels Cannot Throw Knife: Fixes and Combat Guide

If your knife will not throw in KNIFE DUELS, first check your throw control and Instant Throw setting in the training area. The phrase “cannot throw knife” also appears in a voluntary melee-only challenge video; that video does not demonstrate a game bug.

Check the throw control first

On PC, check the right-mouse throw input and the current in-game controls. On controller or mobile, use the throw button shown by your current layout. Test one input at a time while standing still in the training area, then try during movement. This separates a control problem from difficulty aiming in a live duel.

Instant Throw changes the throwing setup. The controller settings demonstration recommends turning it OFF on controller/mobile to retain aim assist; keyboard/mouse players can try it ON. This is a demonstrated settings choice, not a confirmed fix for every failure. See our settings guide.

If the input still does not respond

These are general troubleshooting checks, not a diagnosis of KNIFE DUELS internals:

1. Check the assigned throw control and change only one setting at a time. Note your existing settings before resetting anything.
2. Close chat or another focused menu, then retry the same input in training.
3. Test whether that mouse button or controller input works elsewhere. A failed test can identify an input problem; it does not establish that you need new hardware.
4. Rejoin once and compare another server. If movement and other actions also lag, record that alongside the throwing symptom.
5. If the failure persists, report your device, control layout, Instant Throw setting, server behavior and a short reproduction to the developer through the official game's social links.

What the no-throw challenge actually means

In the melee-only challenge video, the player deliberately avoids throwing, accidentally throws during play, and later chooses to throw again. “Cannot throw” describes the challenge rule, not a disabled ability.
